Scouts

Mt. Zion United Methodist Church is the sponsoring organization for Cub Scout Pack 43, BSA Scout Troop 43 and Venture Crew 343. Pack 43 is for boys & girls from first to fifth grade, Troop 43 is for boys from 10 to 18 years old, Venture Crew 343 is co-ed and for youth 14 to 21 years old.  Our groups coordinate with an all girls Scout Troop 475 that meets at Holy Cross Lutheran Church to promote advancement and growth. Our groups meet weekly at the church. Please refer to the calendar of events to learn more about specific dates and times.

All three groups are very active and includes activities of camping, social service projects while working on rank advancement and merit badges. All of them have helped the church with many events over the years. They have volunteered to help the U.S. Postal Food Drive for our Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Mt. Zion Community Benefit, Trunk or Treat and various other activities. Every February the Scouts plan and lead the worship service on Scout Sunday.
