The Mt. Zion United Methodist Church is fortunate enough to have many people involved in the success of the church. It could be the day-to-day operations to the weekly Sunday services and youth activities that add to their success.

Each and every program, committee, small group or class takes a dedicated group of individuals to make them successful. The time commitment is appreciated with so many people volunteering their time and talents.

And the best part is that everyone is doing this because they love to share God’s love with others!

Rob Roy, Pastor

“When we give Jesus our lives and follow him, our lives are changed, but we can’t stop there,” says Pastor Rob Roy. “We need to make worship a priority and read God’s words of love to us daily. We find that life has meaning and hope, and we are surprised by joy!”

Pastor Rob graduated from Illinois Wesleyan and Boston University School of Theology and has been an elder in the United Methodist Church since 1991. He has been married to Lisa for 37 years and they have four children: David, Andy and Larissa, and Mike. Pastor Rob is approachable and kind and believes every question is a good one. He also leads two worship experiences weekly at Mt. Zion and United Methodist in Bethany.
