Community Benefit

The Mt. Zion United Methodist church members are very active not only within the church but also in our community. It is so important to give to others so that they may help others in the future. The Community Benefit is held each June to benefit a local individual or family that has excessive medical bills due to extreme health issues. The Benefit is a drive thru meal catered by Nelson’s Catering. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at each of the sponsoring churches. They are Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Long Creek United Methodist and Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Church. In 2025, $19,125.00 was raised for Charlie Spurlock and his family.
